This certification demonstrates our ongoing commitment to keeping our customers’ data safe, secure, and handled with care. It is proof that we’ve built strong internal controls around how we manage security, and more importantly, that we consistently follow them over time.
What Is SOC 2, and Why Does It Matter?
SOC 2 (Service Organization Control 2) is a widely recognized compliance standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It’s designed to assess how well the organizations, especially in tech and cloud services, handle customer data.
SOC 2 looks at how a company meets five key Trust Service Criteria:
Security: Is data protected from unauthorized access?
Availability: Are systems reliable and available when needed?
Processing Integrity: Do systems work correctly, without errors or tampering?
Confidentiality: Is sensitive information properly restricted and protected?
Privacy: Is personal data collected, used, and stored responsibly?
In short, SOC 2 is all about making sure customer data is kept safe, private, and handled with integrity.
What’s the Difference Between Type 1 and Type 2?
SOC 2 certification comes in two forms:
Type 1 checks whether your security controls are properly designed at a specific point in time.
Type 2 goes deeper — it checks whether those controls are actually working consistently over time.
